F***, My kids are with their dad and I just had a call from my family in the mid-west on speaker. Should I just start drinking heavily now??!!
Sounds like an excellent plan to me.
Here's to you Gus....CHeers!
Cheers. You must be well on your way by now, marty.
Four or five drinks since we last talked? Atta girl.
drink some for me too!!!!
One of my co-workers made Lemoncello------Very yummy!(hic)
Calamity Jane is eating duck breasts right now and she isn't even drunk.
Is that the craziest thing you've ever heard?
Marty--
Hold your dominion.
Not right now! IT isn't even dinner time yet in the Wild West, tststs...
Gotta practice with that limoncello drinking for your vacation. (I have a small empty limoncello bottle, just waiting for me to put something interesting in it. Maybe I have to learn how to make it too.)
Osso,
He said they got the recipe off of marthastewart.com.
My neighbor borrowed my oven to cook a prime rib and left me an end piece. It's pairing quite nicely with a glass of Syrah.

Any piece is better then no piece!
Yes, I thought it was very nice of him to leave me some dinner as I had turned down their offer to spend the evening with their family. This is the neighbor BTW that I had posted about in the past.
I've been jumping between the computer and the kitchen most of the evening as I have assembled my traditional family Christmas dinner lasagna. My kids will be home in the morning and we'll have a great family day and dinner to end the Christmas holiday.
They were gone a whole week. Although I'm happy that they got to spend time with family, I missed those little buggers
Marty--
Back long, long ago when I was single again, I discovered that the way to navigate holidays when my sons were visiting their father was to devote part of the solitary time to introspection and self-discovery.
Eventually, you learn to relish private time.
Thank you Noddy, that was a very thought provoking message to send me. I have learned to relish my time alone but after 5 days without them I really started missing the noise, the hugs from no where and the endless questions from my curious son.
This morning was Grand! I greeted them at the door wearing my Santa hat which got a laugh from both, had Christmas music playing and let them immediately open presents.
Seeing them happy is the best present I could ever ask for!
Marty--
I hope you're too busy with a joyous, turbulent family to answer this post.
Enjoy.
