Oh dear. Where's Gus?

It has been well over ten hours since I last saw a post from him. Hope our resident (you fill in the blank) will be back soon. Oh, my. (wringing hands) What could have driven him away? Come back, Gus. All is forgiven.

I'm not sure anybody, including gus, is missing. What's the urgency?

But- -What if he doesn't? What if the swamp dries up and he moves on to murkier pastures?

Oh, Dear! What Can the Matter Be?

Oh, dear! What can the matter be?
Dear, dear! What can the matter be?
Oh, dear! What can the matter be?
Gus is not here at the board.

He promised to buy me a trinket to please me
And then for a smile, oh, he vowed he would tease me
He promised to buy me a bunch of blue ribbons
To tie in my Capybara's hair.

Oh, dear! What can the matter be?
Dear, dear! What can the matter be?
Oh, dear! What can the matter be?
Gus is not here at the board.

He promised to bring me a basket of posies
A garland of lilies, a gift of red roses
A little straw hat to set off the blue ribbons
That rest in my Capybara's hair.

Oh, dear! What can the matter be?
Oh, dear! What can the matter be?
Oh, dear! What can the matter be?
Gus is not here at the board.

Last time I saw him, he limped off like Walter Brennan. He looked a little tired. Even his suspenders were drooping.

I don't know who Walter Brennan is, but I bet he's ugly.

He played in old cowboy movies and also had an American TV program called THe Real McCoys, with Richard Crenna.

All I can say about Walter Brennan is simply that he had a unique "voice."

Quak, he posted this morning around 9:30 am in a few threads.
He's alive and dandy, in fact, he just sent me a photo via his new
cell phone (he's got only black-n-white reception)

It is not widely known on a2k, that gus is an excellent singer. I can almost hear him now, crooning his pig herding song:

Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'

Keep movin', movin', movin',
Though they're disapprovin',
Keep them porkers movin' pork rhinds!
Don't try to understand 'em,
Just rope and throw and grab 'em,
Soon we'll be living high and wide.
Boy my heart's calculatin'
My true love will be waitin', be waiting at the end of my ride.

Move 'em on, head 'em up,
Head 'em up, move 'em out,
Move 'em on, head 'em out Rawhide!
Set 'em out, ride 'em in
Ride 'em in, let 'em out,
Cut 'em out, ride 'em in pork rhinds.

Rollin', rollin', rollin'
Rollin', rollin', rollin'
Rollin', rollin', rollin'
Rollin', rollin', rollin'
Pork rhinds!

Rollin', rollin', rollin'
Though the streams are swollen
Keep them piggies rollin'
Pork rhinds!
Rain and wind and weather
Hell-bent for leather
Wishin' my gal was by my side.
All the things I'm missin',
Good vittles, love, and kissin',
Are waiting at the end of my ride

CHORUS
Move 'em on, head 'em up
Head 'em up, move 'em on
Move 'em on, head 'em up
Pork rhinds
Count 'em out, ride 'em in,
Ride 'em in, count 'em out,
Count 'em out, ride 'em in
Pork rhinds!

Keep movin', movin', movin'
Though they're disapprovin'
Keep them piggies movin'
Pork rhinds!
Don't try to understand 'em
Just rope, throw, and brand 'em
Soon we'll be living high and wide.
My hearts calculatin'
My true love will be waitin',
Be waitin' at the end of my ride.

Pork rhinds!
Pork rhinds!

Gus got some last minute work down at the cabbage patch.

Where he met this good looking gal and asked her out on a date.

He was feeling a little rigid this morning, and is working the stiffness out so he can type again.

He'll be back soon.
