My family and I just came in fro the opening festivities of our local "High country festival'
Usual stuff, Pipe band, torchlite parade, fireworks, oooooohhhhh aaaaahhhhhh

And "Large pool" has restricted me to dial up speeds because I downloaded too much crap this month.

NOT HAPPY JAN.

sorry to hear about the "Bali belly" what caused that?

Well, not downloading crap at high speed from the net!!! Nor Bali!!!

Torchlight parades and fireworks? Love 'em!

How "high" does the high country get at these things...or is it more a purely booze culture?

Hmmmm....or perhaps more pre modern?

If one considers the role of totem animals in the history of humanity.

You say "small but irascible" as though diminutive stature were associated with even temperament.

I think not!

The name pika (archaically spelled pica) is used for any member of the Ochotonidae, a family within the order of lagomorphs, which also includes the Leporidae (rabbits and hares). One genus, Ochotona, is recognised within the family, and it includes 30 species. Pikas are also called rock rabbits or coneys. It is also known as the "whistling hare" due to its high-pitched alarm call when diving into its burrow. The pika may look like a hamster, but is actually a cousin of the rabbit. The name "pika" appears to be derived from the Tungus "piika", or perhaps from the Russian "pikat'", to squeak. In the United States the pronunciation of the name is usually altered from /pika/ to /pɪka/, probably due to the spelling.

Changing your dress wont hide your origins my girl.

Good, I suspected you wouldn't like that (re the cod liver oil).

Here's a nice tea for sipping...
has yerba mate, lemon verbena, black tea, lemon grass, licorie root, (flavors), ginger.

Tea called Mate Limon, by Pixie Mate),

Costs a million dollars a box. Save the tea bag...

And here's some fluffy silk covered pillows....

Awwwww...thank you!

Actually, I just put on water to boil for Hilda Hemmel's Digest Right tea, and I am adding some Ayurvedic calming tea, which includes licorice root and cardamon.
