We've secretly switched A's sperm donor for Folger's crystal

So there was this big mix up at a local fertility clinic.

A man was donating sperm in hopes of impregnating his fiancee. The lab called and said they had spilled his sample and asked him to come in again.

They had not, in fact, spilled anything but had used his sperm to impregnate a different woman who was supposed to have an anonymous donor.

The man has filed a lawsuit to determine his paternity.

Wow, thought I. If he wants the baby this is a real disaster for the woman who did indeed get pregnant with his sperm.

And here I've been fretting over December when Mo's class does their family trees.

I've always described Mo's family tree as a Banyan:

Quote:
Another unusual feature of the banyan is its ability to produce adventitious roots from the branches. This characteristic of developing aerial roots allows a single tree to spread over a large area. One famous banyan tree was planted in 1873 in Lahaina's Courthouse Square in Hawai'i, and has grown to now cover two-thirds of an acre.

What kind of tree is your family and why?

I used to have a banyan-like family tree, but now I'm a wind-blown bristlecone pine.

Is there a kind of tree that alternately attacks and ignores itself? That's my family of origin....

Mine's more of a cherry. Not very big but lots of fruit.

With ten siblings, one only recently discovered, I'd have to say a mighty Oak or perhaps a Redwood. We'll be going on for thousands of years! Laughing

The thread title is a classic . . . Boom's sense of humor is fantastic.

Our family is more weed-like than tree-like . . .

If the thread title is correct, it's gonna be one hyperactive little rugrat.

Better him than me, I say.

Ahhhh. The A2K arboretum; enough fruit and nuts to keep each other well fed!

Isn't that sperm donor story the strangest? When I read it this morning I was tempted to laugh but it really is sad for all of the people involved.

A recently found sibling, squinney!? That sounds interesting. Have you shared this story and I somehow missed it?

No, I don't think I have yet.

Perhaps I will after dinner.

I promise it had nothing to do with Folgers, though. Laughing
