ITS A BOY!!!!!!!!

Please join me in welcoming young Mo permanently and forever into clan Dumbkopf!

He weighed in at 59 pounds and was 45 and 3/4 inches long and he has brown hair and the bluest eyes you've ever seen. He's exceptional. He's extraordinary. He is lovely and loved and loving.

And he is officially and forever now a Dumbkopf.

It was a difficult gestation; running more than 44 months. The labor was intense; being nearly as long. But it was all worth it. Every second was worth it.

There are many, many people to thank. I hope they know who they are because if I try to list them I'm certain to leave someone out and this is not a day for hurt feelings. Mo Dumbkopf was raised by committee and most of the committee are members here at A2K. They have my undying gratitude.

So drink a toast, or eat some toast in honor of my family being happily joined. There is a very good chance that you played a part in making it happen.

You have no idea of how much that means to me.

Thank you,

Boomerang Dumbkopf

whoooooooohoooooooooo to all the DumbKopfs

<that is straight from Setanta who's making some toast right now>

Me, I think I'm gonna have a gin and t in honour of all the DumbKopfs and their supporters.

Maybe even get a lil weepy thinking about Not Waving but mostly harmless and his lovely musical tribute to the new mom-to-be BoomerKopf.

eBeth, you know I saved that.....

Quote:
I won't mind
Sitting by your cradle,
Singing to you softly
Far into the night.
I won't mind
Playing peek-a-boo for hours
To see that look of wonder,
Wonder and delight.
Soon they'll be asking, "Where is Tyler's nose?
Where is Tyler's shoe? Where is Tyler's hat?"
"Clever little boy," they'll say.
"Boomer taught him that."

I won't mind
Reading you a story,
Quacking like a duck,
Chirping like a bird.
I won't mind
When you ask me to repeat it
'Til you can say it with me,
Knowing every word.
You needn't worry if there's chicolate on you hands,
Jelly on your face, porridge on my skirt.
Run to me and I'll be there
To hold you when you hurt.

They'll say, "Auntie Boomer can't say no,"
They'll say, "Auntie Boomer's spoiling you."
They'll say, "Auntie Boomer's wrapped around your finger."
I'll say, "Yes, it's true."

I won't mind
Knowing that your mother
Showers you with kisses,
Bakes your favourite bread.
I won't mind
When I see your father lift you
And swing you to his shoulders
High above my head.
Thay may be busy -- I can take you skating,
I can take you sledding, flying down the hill.
If they won't build a snowman,
Auntie boomer will.

They'll say, "Auntie Boomer holds too tight."
They'll say, "Auntie Boomer can't let go."
They'll say, "Auntie Boomer's really not your aunt anyway."
You'll say, "No, that isn't so."

In my heart
I will keep a secret,
Foolish little secret
Hidden from the rest.
In my dream
You're my own, my very own,
And I blanket you with love
As I hold you to my breast.

Boomer, he's not yours.
Boomer, in his life your part is very small.
But if one day a toy should break,
Or maybe playing patty-cake,
You call me Mama by mistake,
I won't mind at all.

All of it was so lovely...but I just wanted to say it's as obvious now, as it clearly was to Not Waving then, it's no mistake.

How appropriate.

Congratulations.

Me, on the day after Mo was born:

WWN EXCLUSIVE - YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST

After 20 years with Mr. Boomerang, Ms. Boomerang has found a new
love. "He's perfect" she gushed "10 fingers, 10 toes, tons of
hair!"
Yes, that's right folks. Today boomerang assumed her surrogatey,
foster grandma duties for the the incredible Tyler.
"I spent the morning speed shopping at Baby Gap and the afternoon
sniffing the perfect little creature."
Despite all of her friends cries of dismay "Your too young to be
a foster grandma" and "It's not fair that you get to be a grandma
when you never had any kids" boomerang replied "Your right and it
isn't fair but I look forward to many many happy years of foster
grandparenting and planning parties at Chuckie Cheese".

Envious Yearnings in the Environs of East York

Sniffing Tyler
Counting Tyler's Toes
Being Tyler's Foster Gramma
Tyler is The One

Is it a soundtrack?
A major motion picture?

It's the sound of a baby-smell loving heart waking and tapping
its owner on the shoulder - gotta tell the Boomerang how lucky
she is.

The lady in black (of course black with lots of texture, cuz
babies luv to touch) is so happy that someone else is gonna get
wee tiny kisses 'n tiny wee sighs 'n teeny tiny weeing!

Tomorrow's banner headline

Boomerang found swooning near baby Tyler with carton of babyGap
clothes at her side. "Can you believe it, I ran out of film.
Never thought it would happen. But it did, and look ..."

Proving the eBeth was actually there from day one.
