Time for me to buy some new socks. Socks tend to annoy me by bunching up or rubbing the wrong way on the toe seam. So I've been looking around to see if I can find any better alternatives. I'm looking for both casual/work socks and athletic socks.
Somewhere I read it's better to wear socks made of primarily cotton for non-athletic pursuits, because synthetic socks will make your feet sweat more. Other places say there is no place for cotton socks. So I'm confused. Wondering if I should buy primarily cotton casual/work socks and synthetic (sweat wicking) athletic socks.
One thing that caught my interest is "toe socks". I do have long toes and generally like to walk barefoot when I can. Anyone tried these (toe socks)? Seems to have not hit the mainstream here so it's hard to find any opinions on them. Did a google search and came up with one manufacturer
http://www.feelmax.com/international/ Don't think they sell these in my area of USA, but I could internet order.
Any recommendations on good socks? I don't mind spending a little more if it means better comfort, quality, etc... For reference I'm a male who take a US size 12 shoe.
