Tonight Mr. B tells me he recieved complementary tickets to a new strip club that opened in town. I'm no big fan of strip clubs but he's a grown man and he can make his own decisions and blahblahblah.
Honestly, I just don't care. I've known a few strippers and they were good women and I'm not really judgemental and I know they can make a lot of money doing that job and, heck, I'm a photographer and I've photographed nudes and women are pretty and, so what.
"Oh not this club" says Mr. B "you wouldn't think "okay" about it".
It seems this new place is a sushi bar that serves it's dishes on naked women.
You heard me right.
This girls job is to be a plate.
So I'm like all "Well does she talk and stuff or does she just lie there?"
And he's all "I don't know. It's so gross. I'm not going. Duh."
And I'm like "Good. I don't care what they pay her, being a plate is not a good job."
Plate job jokes aside (really, not funny and not a big "oh my!") what do you think about this?
huh?
are you
serious?
I am not sure I have an opinion yet..
Im still..
well
sorta stunned,
trying to imagine, someone first of all coming UP with this idea
then marketing it
then opening day
How do you keep your girls safe?
and.. uh..
that fishy smell... ?

ok, ok no jokes )
I've tried to pre-empt the "fishy" jokes by ordering tekka-maki.
Isn't this just too weird?
ew!
sorry, it seems to be my favorite word of the day.
double ew!!!
I guess, I am trying to see the appeal.
Honestly.
I can appreciate a nude woman , almost as much as a man..
I just dont form a tripod over it..
But, I dont think I want my food on a woman..
I guess it is supposed to appeal to the younger side of a man,
the one who liked body shots in highschool/college..
Can the girls be touched?
And, who is going to pay for a lawsuit when some wacko decides to cut his sushi TOO hard. . . ?
Sushi is typically eaten with chopsticks and silverwear isn't used.
I'm not sure if the girls can be touched but some people eat sushi with their fingers if they aren't adept with chopsticks.
Personally, I'd want to know that the "plate" is showering between courses, not to mention between clients.
I really feel sorry for any girl that would take this job. Can't dance? No problem, baby. Be a plate.
Sad sad sad.
Ok, I'm back-peddling from my double-ew.
If I were to go into a strip club, I'd expect to see naked people. Regardless of the fact that hell just froze over, if I was in such a place then I'd have to simply go with the flow and expect whatever. If the whatever of this particular place is eating sushi off of a feminine plate then I guess I'd either eat or go hungry.
Are all the plates she-plates?
If the pay were good, I don't know if this would be such a bad job.
If women are used for sushi, what would a man be used for?
<<ebrown avoids making a joke, but serves up an irresistable opportunity for someone else to crack one...>>
i thought it was a joke ... but it's not !
see for yourself :
...SEATTLE SUSHI BAR...
from CNN :
"SEATTLE, Washington (AP) -- Promoters insist it's performance art. Detractors say women are getting a raw deal.
Whatever the case, the controversy over the Bonzai nightclub serving sushi on nearly naked women isn't about to fade anytime soon. "
In all honesty, the whole idea... especially with the pictures... seems very non-erotic.
The sushi looks good though (mmmmmm sushi).
if they serve pickeled herring i might go
![Shocked](https://cdn2.able2know.org/images/v5/emoticons/icon_eek.gif)
- or how about eel pie ?
hbg
Call me a humorless prude, but I think there's something a bit
off about using women as plates (for heaven's sake!) in a restaurant. Did they run out of the ceramic variety, or something?
That was my first reaction also, msolga. Then I recalled that this is a strip club, not a mere restaurant. When in Rome, I guess....
Hamburger, I think the eel should be served with a male model
Frankly, if a restaurant serves excellent fresh sushi, there aren't
any gimmicks needed. My favorite - Sushi Ota - is always crowded,
no matter what time of the day.

Restaurant or strip club, it's treating women as
things. Ugh.
And somehow the women are there being paid to be plates instead of putting heading down to the temp agency...
yeah, I hear you, msolga.
