Prolly wrong to have brought this up... but with the confluence of a couple of photography likers.. I was wondering how you handled it.

But ne'er mind, that's a tangent to your getting to meet.
Always strange in the meeting, for all of us at a2k, when you really know someone but don't at all.

When I met Diane (and Paola), we all had to near-yell or write notes to converse, for the first twenty minutes or so.

Ah ha! Dang, I just knew it! It would be interesting to compare to Boom's photos. :wink:

I have just about the same mental image of Chai that Reyn has...except she has a younger face, and a lil more chic hair do...lol

It was a blast!

Chai is much softer in real life than I expected. I expected her to be.... different... not as easy and fun. She ran to the door and hugged me and I said "You must be Chai!" Either she hugs everyone or she recognized me pretty quickly. It was really wonderful to meet her. She's amazing.

shewolf I had met before so I knew what to expect. As did Mo (they had to catch up on their stinkbug discussion). As always she is delightful.

Honestly, they are the kind of girls you just want to crack open a bottle of beer with and yak away the day. They are the kind of women that make me miss Texas - so down to earth and funny.

Mo lost yet another tooth last night. I'm still waiting for him to wake up and find his tooth fairy booty. He'll probably start ripping teeth out of his head real soon.

Once I get back to Oregon and have a way to post photos I'll try to get photo clearance on one so everyone can see our beautiful group!

I'm sorry mac and DrewDad weren't able to make it. That would have been fun.

I'd better go prepare for tooth fairy morning!

I told sozlet about Mo's lost teeth and she was way impressed ("TWO in one day?? Wow!!") and then told me, somewhat in the manner of a coach taking his star player aside for instruction, that she'd really appreciate it if I told her these stories about Mo immediately. (She used both "appreciate" and "immediately.") She really likes the stories (and him).

Yer all so wrong about how Chai looks. She sent me the link to a picture once, well she dont look none like the girls in the pictures you folks posted.
