Is it possible to live for a month without a computer?

I thought I could do it, but have only been here 5 days and already miss being able to check email and see what's new on A2K. (Using the hotel's Web TV system is expensive and frustrating, but it was worth it to see some familiar "faces" tonight).

Is there any way to ease the withdrawal pangs? Does the craving for mental stimulation lessen with time? Anybody got a spare laptop I could borrow?

As month is kind of much and I think I would have been climbing the walls in a week myself. Wish I had a laptop to send you, but all I can send is my hopes that you'll pull through and have a full recovery. Hang in there ;-)

Mental stimulation Terry - is that what this is?
I always thought I was just wasting time.

A couple of years ago, my computer was down for about 6 weeks. I felt like I was stranded on a desert island!

My laptop has been in for repairs and upgrades twice now, both times I've had to wait a month before it was returned. There isn't much on my laptop that I would find on a lab computer (or my computer at home. when I'm there). All my voice activated software is on my laptop, though.

When it's gone, I am at a loss...

So, I know the feeling, Terry!

Maybe 29 days, but a month is kind of drastic. Wink c.i.

Less than 2 weeks to go, but I just had to log on and check my email. Wouldn't want to miss any important money making opportunities or body part enhancement offers. ;-)

Living without a computer isn't as bad as I thought it would be, but I can't wait to get back home where I don't have to pay for web access and can compose a response without getting timed out or locked out every time I try to post anything.

I made it!! Laughing

I'm finally back home to my computer (and family too, of course) and trying to catch up on everything I've missed.

But if I ever go away again, I'm definitely getting a laptop. I don't want to go through A2K withdrawal again!
