At 13.20 flight 1169 (Air France) will take off with smorgs on le board!

I'm so excited, I can barely contain myself...

I'm staying 'till Thursday at Marceau Bastille (ahem 4*, if you don't mind) which is in the Marais District.

So if any A2K'ers are around (in France) on those dates, I'll buy you a cup of tea...

I would love to meet you in Paris, but unfortunately I am halfway
around the globe...

....but I wish you a splendid time. Enjoy the attention you get from the
charming, pleasing Frenchmen, bathe in it, yet don't take it too seriously: they are born to sweet talk the ladies. Just what you need, ha?

Have a great time!! Smile

If I recognise his ear in the throngs of french men, Gus...

I will certainly give his ear 'the eye'

Thanks anyway - I shall bring you all back a mini Eiffel Tower!

Why, Montana, I'm just going for the adventure, If a French Type Male wants to fall in love with me over the four day period - well, that is up to le them.

Besides, I won't be packing my heart - just euros and knickers (French ones).

Well, I don't see love in the future for me and Frenchy either, so I guess I'll just have to continue to be in lust with him Laughing

Just been on a site that reviews hotels... it has only one 'so so' review, the rest are quite glowing.

The address of the hotel is 13 Rue Jules César, Paris 75012, France.

Does anyone know the Marais district, am I near the sights?

Just about to download a map and stuff, but would be grateful for any comments/advice on the area.

Well, you've complained about a 4* (or was it even 5*?) hotle in the UK some time back..
This is a two-star hotel. And in Paris.

Marais will be okay for fun.

Near the sites? Well, Paris is bit larger than Manchester and they didn't center the touristic attractions at one spot  - but everything is easily to be reached by Métro.

I would suggest, you go to WH Smith's and get a mini guidebook of Paris, like the one by "The Rough Guide".
Could be a good investment.

Have some nice days .... and meet the right people!

Oh, how inconsiderate of the French, not putting all their tourist attractions in one spot...just for me.

A guide book? You know I never thought of that!

...and when you have quite finished raining on my parade, walter:

Marceau Bastille - 4* in Paris - brand new hotel!
Room 1

It was sold to me as a 4*, but then I am from Manchester and therefore gullible and unsophisticated.

...and I'm sure I will meet the right people - why wouldn't I?

...and everyday is a nice day to me, whether it be in France or my parochial slum in manchester. Very Happy
