What is the difference between "You are a confident man" and "You are confidence man" ? Thank you !
A "conman" is short for "confidence man".
It is a man (or woman) that gains your confidence to cheat or rob you using only that against you, your trust and confidence and a "con" of some sort.
A "con" is a false story or senario that the "conman" or "confidence man" uses to get you to give him money.
And a cofident man, is one who is sure of himself.
