Do you trust your scales to give an accurate reading?
We have 2 sets of scales at home and they give a reading of a stone and a half in difference between them!!!
M.G, if you don't mind, I'll explain to the mainly American forum, what a "stone and a half" is, as they will probably not have a clue (they work in pounds).
A stone is the equivalent of fourteen pounds, so a stone and a half is twenty one pounds or, to put it another way, one twelfth of an average Floridian or a quarter of a Gus.
Carry on.
Sorry your right, I should have converted it.
Im just so annoyed, I havnt a clue what I weigh.
Plus there is probably someone out there with the same make of sclaes that I have that make them 21lbs heavier than they really are!!Which just isnt fair on them.
They could be a healthy 10 stone but will struggle to get down to an unhealthy 8 and a half stone!!
Anyhoo, Im gona drag myself to the gym tonight where they have a scale which I kinda trust(coz it makes me weigh the least amount of all)so Il report back tomorrow.
You're only ten stone? There's not much to lose then, unless you're three foot nine, of course.
Go for it, MG!
As an added incentive, when you get down to eight and a half stone, I will allow you to post a picture of you in your most revealing underwear.
Deal?
The example I gave was merely fictitious.Sadly I weigh more than 8 stone or 10 stone. But it just means there is more of me to cuddle.
There's nothing wrong with the more ample woman. Give me Dawn French instead of Kate Moss any day.
Built for comfort, knows how to please a man, and can usually cook a brilliant breakfast.

Kate Moss-What is the point?!Someone that thinks its a good idea to go out with Pete Doherty has to be a bit of a mentallist.
We have a Tanita model BF679 and I think it is excellent. It also measures body fat, but I'm not sure that is totally accurate. Below is their website, but you can find their scales cheaper at sites like Amazon. Our model cost about $60 and only a professional athlete or anorexic would want the more expensive models.
