I see something in the above photo. Has anyone seen Aliens? Remember the scene where Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) was looking for the little girl? Ripley was virtually in the belly of the beast, down where the giant alien creature was producing her egg pods. Ripley is covered in sweat and filled with fear as she walks among the pods. She calls for the kid. "Newt! Newt!", but there is no answer and Ripley becomes very crestfallen and begins to leave.

Suddenly a small voice cries out. And this is where the above photo comes into play. See the pod in the middle? In the movie the muffled voice of the child cries, "Ripley, help me!"

Ripley turns around and sees the kid, completely wrapped up in a pod, only the top of her head visible. Her terrified eyes stare at Ripley, actually pleading eyes might be a better description. Her hair is coated with slime from the alien matriarch.

Anyway, do you see it? Can you see the child trapped in the pod?

Could you imagine yourself in that position?

Can you taste the fear?

Newt?.......................Newt?

Those "pods" look like big Ginger roots to me. I could set up a road side "Ginger Stand," and sell hunks of ginger to people.

Come and getcha ya ginger! I'll cut ya off a big hunka ginger!

Look at the tall one in dead center. You can see the head sticking out and the eyes are quite visible.

What is wrong with you people?

That scene you describe, Gus, wasn't in Alien anyway. Maybe The Aliens (the sequel)? I don't remember it.

Maybe the pod on the left, the taller one, is the middle pod's husband.

My bad, Gus. You did pluralize it. I only remember the begining of that movie. Don't recall if I ever watched it all the way to the end. A lot of beer was being consumed that evening when I brought the VCR tape home.

The one with the beard, right? Of course it is. He just turned around from beating his daughter with a belt. That's why she's leaning over... Rolling Eyes

not that that's stereotypical or anything...

Upon further examination there are other things I see in the photo.

I see things you people wouldn't believe.
Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion.
I watch C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate.
All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.
Time to die.
