I thought i'd share with you guys three of my favourite pics of one of my favourite cities in South Africa: Cape Town. These I all took when i was on holiday there. enjoy them, Cape town is so god dam pretty.
Camps Bay
Lion's head
Sea Point
I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Easier to see if they were a bit smaller.
sorry didn't realise they were so big.
They are 1600x1200 pixels. Would be better at 800x600 or 1024x768.
yeah resisng them as we speak
I don't have to admit anything...you're not the boss of me.
no really, very very nice...I like that second picture best, can imagine walking along there.
How cold does it get there?
How hot?
hmm cape town can get really warm in summer up to 35 degrees but it's got a nice climate because of teh cool sea winds in the day and what the capetonians call the berg winds at night (warm mountain winds). usually pretty temprate in the 20's winter can get cold but rarely below 15 degrees in the day and zero at nigth. It's the wind that can kill there blows like crazy sometimes. It has dry summers and wet winters.
had to get out my celsius farenheit calculator...
that's 68 at night and 95 during the day in the summer, and
32 at night and 60 during the day in the winter.
Your winter temperatures are about the same as were I live, sometimes if we have a cold snap it's be -7c at night and get up to 0c during the day.
Summers, well hopefully it stays under 37c, but will only cool down to 32c in the evening, and maybe 26-27 right before it gets light.
Some years it'll get up to 41 every day for a week or 2.
I grew up elsewhere, on the Atlantic ocean, and it would get pretty warm during the day but yeah, those breezes at night cooled things down....if you went to the beach at night, you'd better bring a jacket. That was nice.
Oh no i live Johannesburg, here it's pretty much the same sorta summer temperatures but no wind, so feels hotter but the climate is also drier up here. Cos Johannesburg is so far above sea level we have very cold winter days can be as low as 8 and the nights can be minus 2 or 3 easy in midwinter, but once again in general the day time temperatures are mid 20's and nights here are cool in betwen 12 and 18. Durban on the other hand is a sub tropical furnace with heavy humidity and summer tempratures in the late 30's and it doesn't cool down at night much and the winters are very temperate, mid winter can have days in the late 20's and night at 18, 20 degrees. I can't handle it without aircon.
