yup.
Im stealin it. Very Happy

Saturday mornings, I usualy go work at goodwill.
Well, im not doing it this saturday.
Im going to tell hubby I am, and tell MIL I am, and I am going to get ready as if I am going, but it aint happenin .

im going to go spend that 3 hours on my own with noone around.

And I have no clue what to do with myself.

fishing?
Shopping? ( nah.. too obvious)
walking?
driving?

>sigh<

I have not had free time like this in a long time.
Im afraid I will feel so lost for things to do that i will waste it in the car trying to decide what to do..

I like to spend stolen hours like that in a bookstore, just browsing. Then, if the weather's nice, take your latest purchase (or even just the morning paper) to a local park, sit and enjoy the day.

I suppose if you are constantly busy the best thing to do with spare time is absolutely nothing. In which case i hope yuo have a great time.

I, on the other hand, have nothing but time.Just spent the 4 days easter break doing absolutely diddly squat and I hate myself for it.

I advise you to maybe do something to pamper yourself,if it becomes a regular skiving session, start a hobby, or take yourself off somewhere just to see different things.

Whatever you do I hope you enjoy it.My riends with kids have said how they dont get any time to themselves, they have my every sympathy.

I am busy MOST of the time, but because I stay at home during the day with jillian, i get some time to do nothing almost every day.
If she takes a nap that is. ;-)
And I dont have laundry to do, or dishes, or dinner to cook , or play dates to reserve.. or..

hmm

maybe I am busier then I think.

part of me wants to jam pack the morning with silly shopping like I love to do.
Browsing pawn shops, garage sales etc.
Usually buying nothing

the other half of me wants to buy a cheap ole' fishing pole and sit by the water.

Another part of me wants to grab some friends and spend a day gabbing with them.

I'm with blacksmithin' -- nothing beats spending stolen hours at the bookstore.

I always treat myself to lunch when I have a free day too there is something so lovely about taking an hour to eat while reading a new purchase.

What a great idea, shewolf. I like to spend stolen time driving, walking, yardsaling, and yes, browsing around the bookstore (buying nothing).

Go have yourself some unwinding time.

The last time I did this was about a year ago. I volunteered to be a chaperone on my daughter's field trip and took a vacation day from work for it. As it was over before lunch, I went out all alone and treated myself to a nice sit down lunch at a nice location by the harbor. After lunch I went for a nice walk along the harbor. It was the best 2 - 3 hours alone I have had in a while.

Usually on a very rare occassion on the weekend for about 1 -2 hours, I will go do some errands with any little children with me. WalMart is never so blissful. That's about the only alone time I get - that and my commute back and forth to work (although that is frequently interrupted with phone calls - hate my cell phone).

However, it is about time I do get to do the lunch/walk thing again.

Every time I get a chance like this, I make grandiose plans involving lunches, movie matinees and champagne cocktails. Then I wind up taking a nap.

(Don't forget to set the alarm.)

LOL, I've had to explain grass stains on my knees before....lol

Naww, just kidding...... Twisted Evil

But my lil guilty pleasure here lately, has been getting to go and play the slots late at night in a town about 25 miles away!

No kids...no husband, just the girlfriends...and we might make it home by 1 or 2 in the morning...FUN!!! Makes it even better if you win!
