Happy Birthday, Walter. Perhaps more than anyone on this site you are responsible for making me what I am today. Words could not possibly express my gratitude therefore a token of my appreciation will have to suffice....

I sure hope you don't have this particular model. And, again, Happy Birthday.

Happy Birthday Wally.

It should be an increasing source of ongoing pleasure to talk about things not related to the topic at hand Smile

Question

Ha! The amount of times that I've made this mistake on A2K!

"Pissed" in English/English = Under the influence of alcohol.

In American/English = annoyed.

(PS....We always call that type of glass a "flute" over here, and that is what led him to reply with humour)

PPS....If someone is annoyed, we always use the phrase "Pissed off".

Hope you had a great day, Walter.

Thanks a lot again!

Gustav, to be honest, I had a similar model, but that one crashed yesterday when playing with it.

Thanks, it wasn't bad at all (besides that above mentioned accident of course, which pissed me of a bit). Laughing

Yes that's right, drunk and incapable, that's what pissed means here; and the "joke", if such it can be called, is a reference to the title of that well-known Irish ditty, "Phil the Fluter's Ball"

You know the one

....Oh, hadn't we the gaiety
At Phil the Fluter's ball...

(Maybe I shouldn't have bothered)

The very best birthday present I've got was a huge box with 20 different kinds of Belgian chocolates (that's especially a note for CL).

Grrr - typo Embarrassed
(Should use electric instead of candle light at my age or - even better - some of those keyboards for seniors)
CJ was meant, of course.
(And a got a big package of Mozartkugels as well, honouring Mozart just now by eating some.)
