Speaking Dutchy, "It makes down white." Serious white. Inch-an-hour white right now in the Poconos.

Are you braced for the blizzard? Does the weekend snow seem unfair?

Come in and complain while the snow falls.

We have an inch of snow--soft, juicy, skiddy snow. Dear little Iffy, a pit bull with a warm heart, came in from the Ladies' Comfort Station and Rest Room bedecked like a Snow Bunny.

Does that have the potential to strand you in Florida?

It is almost 3:00 am here in CT and we have about three inches of snow. They said it would start snowing at 5:00 pm... It started snowing at 11:00. So I guess that's about an inch an hour... ack... No complaints with it starting that late though since I was at work and was doubting if I would make it home tonight. Man I'm not looking forward to shoveling tomorrow! Or being stuck at home all day... Oh well... It will be over soon enough... eh?

Saw someone walking on our sidewalk about an hr and a half ago, and the snow seemed to be up to her ankles. Our street is plowed and clear of cars (it's a secondary access road). Snow coming down mighty heavily right now. Big accumulation inside one of the windows in this room (the storm window is broken, and when there's the wind, the snow just comes right in and nestles in the window itself). If I was to open that window, I'd have, hmm, enough snow to fill a decent-sized sauce pan. So it's been a bit windy.

Snowing hard here now, big flakes and lots of them, very windy, lots of periods of horizontal snowfall, barometer at 29 something and still falling.

whoo, I'm glad no work today.

We probably have eight inches--with the potential of two or three more.

The temperatures are in the low twenties and the snow is dry and powdery. I was able to swoosh the snow off the front steps so that Iffy could hurry down and empty her bladder. Eight inches of snow. Dog with eight inch legs. Her tummy was wet and cold.

Snow glorious snow. I miss it. <sob>

Setanta is not appropriately sympathetic to my complaints. <sob>

Not sympathetic? Neither am I. Beauty is transitory. Slush is forever.

It is snowing fiercly here and blowing pretty good as well. We have about eight inches of snow at the moment. My dog is a beagle, his legs are about 7 in, and this is the first time it's snowed this much since we lived here. He wouldn't go out for my husband so when I got up I went outside with him. I wish I would have had a video camera. He was running, well hopping, around and around the yard, then he'd stop... stick his face in the snow... jump strait up in the air... and take off across the yard again... he had me laughing pretty hard!

Dogs are cool...
