Had a bad intestinal problem for several years...my belief is somewhere I picked up e coli and it kept going into remssion by the time I could get to the doctor.

I would be fine for moths, then BAM. It felt like someone pulling out my intestines and wringing them like a wet washrag.

One night it was so bad I was blacking out and thinking....."I'm dying...and I can't get to the the phone" I really thought someone was going to find me dead in the morning.

Finally went away when I commited myself to only eating foods prepared by by own hands, drank only bottled water and became ridiculous about washing my hands before I touched anything that went in my mouth. I did that for 2 years.

Have you ever had it checked out...?

Yes, soz. Monster was a surgeon, he took me to the hospital right away...got it cleaned and wrapped by him. i got an x-ray then, but they said that if the bone is cracked it may not show until after a few days when swelling may separate them somewhat. in any case there was nothing to be done, cracked or not cracked so i didn't go back. it feels more like tendonitis. especially annoying when our trainer has us doing pushups...ouch.

Right, it was the going back/ follow-up that I was referring to...

Nothing to be done though, eh?

Two years? That's a long time to be living like that.
You'd have done well at the court of the Borgias.

I'm an accident in progress, so there's too many to mention.

I started at 15 when I was mowing a yard ... I was on a hill and slipped. My left foot went under the lawn mower and I lost the tops of three toes. It was a mess!!

nope, nothing to be done, soz. they didn't tell me to come back.

the other bike related episode in two acts was my rib. mountain biking with the monster up in maine we were crossing a dried river channel. nice round big stones. i got stuck between two and fell flat on my chest, knocking my breath out and all....major pain, but nothing broke at that point.

week later i went biking alone (dumb) without a cell phone or any means of communication whatsoever). i was quite deep in the woods when i stumbled a bit and just extended my left arm to lean on a tree for support. i heard a loud crack and shards of blinding pain in my chest - my rib, that probably tore up in maine the previous week, detached from the cartilage and slid under. woweeee that hurt. i then had to walk the bike through the woods to the car for a good hour and drive myself home.

i got an xray again. i had a noticable bump, but nothing can be done for that either. doctor told me - my favorite part of this whole episode - "eh, you'll gain weight, then you'll have a kid and will get deformed, you'll gain more weight....nobody will ever notice"

Oh yes, I never went anywhere without Octavio. He was quite commited to me.

Too bad about the chili episode.
