Since it is now customary in the fall of the year to beseech The Great Pumpkin I see no reason that The Groundhog can't be chivvied into becoming a Recipient of Spring Wish Lists.
Groundhog's Day marks the mid-point of winter.
On Groundhog's Day I'd like to be able to get to my forsythia bush to get some cuttings to force. I'd appreciate some sunshine between now and February 2. I'd like at least 3/4 of the bulbs I planted last October to survive the hungry critters.
Does anyone else intend to plague this mid-winter totem?
I wish that my trumpet vine, planted in Autumn, and nibbled by something mysterious so that only an inch of stem is showing, is alive and well under there, and ready to burst forth in late April.
I am hoping that my money tree, which is down to 4 leaves hanging limply on a branch, can make a comeback and return to full health... my finances could use the boost.

Mine thrives on total neglect, bar the odd splash of water about once a year.
Mine suffers from being totally neglected and going to too much attention.
I just steal off my neighbors money tree
aHa! JP--that's where your money's been going!
Yep, right into the compost pile.
No! CL's been stealing it! See? She admitted it!
CL!!! I want my money(tree) back!
jp, once you have success with your money tree, will you send me some offshoot? i'd like to start my own.
In my day, we called the "money plant", "honesty".

Lord Ellpus--
Is the Trumpet Vine prone to being nibbled? Does it really grow with gay abandon?
