I was having a cup of coffee after dinner, and became a bit nostalgic, and recalled the time, lo those many yeas ago, when Ellpus came to us. Oh, i don't mean that obnoxious bloody twit Ellpus Major, who used to terrorize all the little boys in the lower forms--but the Ellpus we all know and love, Ellpus Minor. He looked so gangly, lost in the over-large ill-fitting coat, with the badly tied necktie, and i'm sure that after his elder brother's bad reputation, most of us looked at him askance. But time told, and we came to know and love Ellpus Minor for the fine soul that he is. Yes, he tripped over his own feet all time, we've all had ink splattered on us when he overturned an inkpot--but his embarrassed smile and blushes drove all exasperation away, he was just too kind and well-meaning to hold a grudge against him.
I'm sure all of you felt as i did, a secret satisfaction, when Ellpus Major left for university, got into that horribly embarrassing scrape with Cherie Booth, before she married that Blair fellow. He really had it coming, and the silver lineing was when the elderly Lord Ellpus disinherited him, meaning that our young Ellpus Minor would succeed to the dignity of the peerage. Of course, one would never say anything in front of Ellpus Minor, he was so painfully aware of the shame his elder brother had brought on the family name--one just couldn't make it any worse for him.
Yes, i was thinking back to those good old days when Ellpus Minor first came among us, and i'm so very glad that we now have Lord Ellpus to count as a friend, something we can all say with pride.
Bloody awkward git with a cricket bat in his hands, though . . .
I been awaitin' and awaitin' fer Lordofthesilliestposts to show up an regale us, but no joy today . . .
oh he's around. probably just boyishly shy, as such is his nature.
I am, at this moment, working up a good harrrrrumph.
I'll be back in a mo.......
(I believe he's having a nice cup of herbal tea, calming down from one of the bra threads.)
<tap, tap, tap>
perhaps he's having a herbal smoke, just like every day before he arrives here with a thud and his silly quirky posts.

Are you looking in the mirror? Are you half naked? How immodest of you . . . Oh the conceit . . . you should at least post an image so we can decide for ourselves . . .
