I find those pix of australopithicus odd - what's with the distended bellies?
I doubt the fossils of these early ancestors actually gave a clue about the shape of their bellies, but I am no scientist to say.
I doubt they did. I assume the artist would look at the closest living relatives to those early hominids - make a composit of their bone structure, gorilla/chimp structure and more modern humanoid structure to come up with a figure. But if you look at current, wild primates, they are definitely barrel chested, but not really pot-bellied. The only thing I can think is that they thought these creatures were malnourished for some reason. Of course that wouldn't be true.....
Maybe too many burritos, washed down by gallons of beer.
maybe! maybe I'll go try to figure out who made that and when. Perhaps they thought vegie diets would do that to a gut.

Crazy Glue would work better than gel, I think.
That's because you look like MR Bean.

It's all those TV dinners.
It certainly worked, plus this kind of "hair gel" has lots of protein
which is good for your hair.
Not only that, gel makes good eatin'.
I don't want raspberry. Got any cherry?
Nope. The only other flavour is gel de hair. Sorry.
Did they say what the bog man used as hair gel? This has been on my mind. Lemon and or egg whites can be used, I suppose, but I'm guessing lemons were no where near england yet and egg whites were too precious. So..... what then?
Apparently:
"The shorter man appeared to attempt to give himself greater stature by a rather curious headdress which was a bit like a Mohican-style with the hair gel, which was a resin imported from France"
ah, resin......? Tree sap?
