As we all know, the phrase "Deja Vu" is German for:-
"I haf zeen zis before".
So, has anyone a tale to tell along these lines?
What has happened to you, that has freaked you out? .........
T'aurais vu ce que j'ai déjà vu, tu me prendrais pas pour un m'as-tu vu...
Yes, yes, we Germans have seen many "deja vus" <sigh>
Odd - somehow, I just can't shake the feeling all of this is eerily familiar ... wunner whuzzup with that.
I have, indeed, Ellpus. I just received an e-mail that said my diploma was ready. Hmmm. I always thought that deja vu was French. Want to hear a deja vu song, Brit?
Deja vu deja vu deja vu
Deja vu deja voo deja vooouooo
Deja vo deja vo deja voo
Deja vooo--oo DEJA VU
My word, Steve. That was not the song that I was humming, but I like it.
Yes Miss Letty, "deja vu" is a French word, however
Lord Ellpus made reference to it being German due to
having experienced deja vu in our history (German/English as well as German/French).
Ah, I see, Jane. Sorry, Lord of the Flies.
T'ai raison, Francis, mon ami.
Deja vu is so common in my experience, I wouldn't know where to start relating these events. Why, just this morning, I woke up, got out of bed and said to myself, "Now, damnitall, didn't I do this just yesterday? Or the day before? Or sometime in the recent past?" Very weird feeling.
no discussion of this topic is complete without yogi berra's famous quote
"it's like deja vu, all over again"

Eh? Me no comprendez.
I was just in a silly mood, really. I originally thought of saying that it was a swedish phrase, but couldn't for the life of me put a swedish accent into written form.
Has this tread been done before then? Or is it just deja vu?
Oh, I see Spanky! I thought you made reference to
WWI and II - thus German and deja vu
There's the connection: a German shepheard dog.

I'm like John Cleese in that respect......."Don't mention the war"
If I DID, you would only come back at me with details of how your football team always dump us out of the world cup.
That's COLD WAR - the linesman was a Russian!

lol, perhaps my favourite non python john cleese moment
That is, when the English are allowed to play in the world cup
Walter has cleared up the confusion completely now, hehe.
