250 FREESTANDING STONE TOWERS scattered across the Tibetan and Sichuan landscape, these unique structures ,despite being on the World Heritage list are in danger of being completely descroyed.
Built perhaps 1,800 years ago, their purpose is unknown.

I wonder if they are in danger of being descroyed by earthquackles?
Some have been destroyed, because their stone is being used for building,a bit like the quarrying of stone from castles etc.
