well the goverments are in the process of inventing new vaccines for it
though now they are ordering medications like tamiflu for treating it
tamiflu is quite effective atleast in keeping he virus at bay
as a result it is running in short supply

hello.
(Well, I thought somebody should respond.)
Hello Merry Andrew.
Are you suggesting bluefin should either be a little more specifc in his/her subject line, or perhaps join another thread re the avian flu to express him/herself in!
I love threads that start with a subject like "Please help"! or "Need and answer to this ASAP"!
with the please help ones, I feel so obligated. I mean, what if the poster is stuck in a well or his head is on fire?
I wonder how many hospitalizations or even God forbid deaths have occured because I didn't open the thread to help.
WHY, WHY has all this responsibility fallen on ME to help them!?
I'm spreading myself thin as it is....I just can't take care of everyone anymore.
<starts to weep>
Oh God, why doesn't someone come and help ME?
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!
There, there, Chai. There pats. <pats her head>
The responsibility is awesome, I know. I've found a simple solution. Now if I see a headline that reads only "Please Help" or "need help immediately" or any variation thereof, I simply ignore it, don't even open it to see what it's all about.
I am constitutionally unable, however, to ignore someone who just want to say 'hi.' So I respond. (I'll prolly be sorry someday.)

Okay, okay, here.
<throws Chai a life preserver and runs away>
Re: Hello
Ah, leave it to those smarty Canadians to come up with a solution again.
What would we do without them?
