On another thread, a member remarked that there are A2K members with whom he never comes in contact. That is because there are certain forums that he frequents, and others that he doesn't. That got me to thinking.
Without doing any hard statistics, I would say that the vast majority of my posts are in these forums:
General- I can always find something interesting there.
Relationships and Marriage- Sometimes I think that if there was such a thing as reincarnation, I would like to come back as "Dear Abby". I have always been interested in the interrelationships amongst people, and have vast personal experience, which I like to share.
Spirituality and Religion- I like a good debate, and I am really interested in what people believe, and why they believe the way that they do. I am also very concerned with what I perceive is the negative effect of mixing religion with government, a trend that is very prevalent today.
Medical News and Health- I think that I can safely say that I probably know a lot more about medicine, even though I have not had medical training, than the average young doctor. I am very interested in the subject, and through life experience and reading, have accumulated a lot of knowledge on the subject.
Aging- Well, I am not getting any younger, and I am dealing with a 96 year old mother, so this subject is of interest to me.
Once in awhile I will put my two cents into the electronics, computer and internet forums, although I think that there are people on this forum with much greater knowledge than I have in these areas.
Sometimes I will throw a word or two into a word game, but not very often.
I rarely post to any of the "artsy" forums. That is probably because I am the least artsy person that I know. I like classical music, but you rarely find a thread about that subject. I have little to say about "pop" music. I really don't like to argue politics. (Well, maybe once in awhile)
What forums do YOU like to frequent? Why? Have you ever considered posting to a forum to which you have never written before?
I always post in General
I always read the political debates, arguements, and rants.
I always try to give advice in the medical threads.
I ignore religion like the plague, mostly out of respect for other people because I get really nasty and personal when I have to argue with someone in PERSON, i dont want to do that on the computer.
Parenting and Childhood - has become a life crutch
Travel and culture I think I never see,
and the rest of them, depends on the topic. I will float to any thread ( except religion ) freely if the topic seems fun.
Anything that is clean, wholesome and free from innuendo.
Avoiding Original Writing and Artsy/Craftsy stuff, I just cruise the list. Oh, and add the Movie/TV forums to the list of stuff to avoid.
Music & Lyrics, and General is where I seem to end up!
Forumless. Just go by new posts.
I stay away from political threads. I check on new posts, and unanswered post. My favorites are the poetry forum, and the art forum. But, I pretty much read everything else.

HAH!
Liar, liar! Pants on fire!
BBB
General
Relationships and Marriage (come on we all need a good laugh or an ego boost about our own lives every now and then)
Medical and Heath (I am a walking medical case, need info)
Humor (cuz it's funny)
I don't usually post in Politics because I usually don't have a strong enough argument. Religion is such a nasty place sometimes so I only go in there on my bitchy days.
I write every now and then in Original Writing and read but rarely respond because people seem to want only praise instead of critique.

Kinda my reason for staying out of the political threads.
If you have a strong enough point, and people can not debate it, all they do is resort to 'gram-murh powlice" or, insult your person.
They only want you to agree.. not debate.
oh but I have to say
I wanna answer in 6 words or less - I dunno Y - jus something stupid I guess
