Every since childhood I have had this foot odor that has followed me. Within the last year it has got extremely bad to the point of me not being able to work. It's moreso a food and shoe issue. Without shoes my feet don't really smell .. when I wear all of my shoes an odor appears. Trust me I've replaced all of my shoes, tried soaks, creams and even went to the podiatrist. It is said to be genetic and of no fault of my own. I can't go anywhere and I am staying with a relative who helps me out. For context I am 37. I desperately want my own life and to have a family but honestly it seems as if this condition will leave me out on the streets eventually and it's not fair. I'm very educated and driven to have a great career but all of that just seems out of reach. It seems as if I was just born with a bad hand. If you were me what would your next steps be? Any and all comments are welcome. Thank you.
I can't offer a solution, but perhaps you could at least find a stay at home job.
@cmturner,
I have been looking and applying for those. Since everyone has returned back to work from covid they are really hard to come by.
@sunshine1534,
Matthew 6:33--Keep on seeking-FIRST- the kingdom and his( YHWH(Jehovah=Father) righteousness and all these things will be added to you( sustenance, covering, spirituality)--no trinity religion on Earth teaches this super important truth-they are false religions. God promises to take care of those that do Matt 6:33)
@sunshine1534,
See a doctor. You may have a bacterial or fungal infection, and both of those are very, very treatable.
I guess you already tried that.
@sunshine1534,
I am really sorry that sounds exhausting. If you have not yet you should book an appointment with a dermatologist of another podiatrist. Persistent odour that comes from shoes is usually a sign of too much sweat or a bacterial skin infection called pitted keratolysis. Both of these problems are very treatable. You should ask about prescription‑strength antiperspirant, for feet, iontophoresis or even Botox for sweating. Washing with a benzoyl peroxide wash wearing merino socks and turning your shoes so that each pair has 48 hours to dry can make a difference too. You are clearly. This is a fixable problem, not a life sentence.
@katebrownell86,
Thank you! I have been using the Panoxyl and also have tried Hibiclens. I am more than tired. I have went to the doctor twice but not much change in what was prescribed...going to try to keep going.
