I run a business and am looking to hire someone who lives abroad, so I’ve been reading about employer-of-record services.
From what I understand, an EOR has its own legal entity and hires the person legally in their own country. So instead of us opening a local company just to hire one person, the EOR handles things like payroll, local contracts, taxes, benefits, and employment rules.
Has anyone here used an EOR before, or looked into one seriously?
After researching, I see G-P as a solid option and a good fit for us, especially since we don’t want to set up a local entity in another country. But I’m still not sure about EOR in general; for now, it’s one person, but we plan to expand globally in the future.
