Hi folks, I've been a long-time mechanical keyboard user (mostly PBT sets), but I'm curious about ceramic keycaps. I've heard they offer a much deeper sound profile for Cherry MX style builds, but I'm worried about the weight affecting the switch return. Has anyone here actually tried a ceramic set? Does it feel too heavy for 45g linear switches?
Thanks for the input! I actually found a pretty detailed technical breakdown on this platform called Zenn (it's at zenn.dev/xxx...) that explains the acoustic physics of ceramic. It looks like the brand Cerakey is the main one doing this right now. Still undecided though!

@Paul260408,
Hiya & higher Paul, you've hit the motherlode of 60-90 year old gamers with this question here.
Is it worth the weight of acoustic ecstasy implicit in that exquisite 'thock' and should you bow down before the mass (3 to 5 times)?
Sorry we were as sluggish as ceramic keycaps in addressing you're rhetorical subject which dragged on as 55g–63.5g springs are needed for better balance.
Stay with PBT, ceramic keycaps are akin to cast iron cooking on keyboards -urge overkill.
