Yes, it's that day again. The day 3rd Avenue is blocked off for about fifteen blocks so that vendors can sell irregular socks, cheap rugs, Bonzai plants, Mix tapes, Funnel cakes, roasted corn on the cob, superfantastic ultra modern mop/broom inventions that will make cleanup a snap!, and of course, my favorite, the Mozzarepa, a corn tortilla-type thing with melted mozzarella cheese inside.
The other beautiful thing about this particular street fair is that there is always a vendor set up directly below my window selling shoes...I can see right down the shirts of the ladies down there!!! Yes! I LOVE THIS PLACE!
Gotta go. There's some cleavage a-callin' me.
snap a few photos, will ya?
:::BOOBAGE ALERT:::
I went to a Renaissance Festival yesterday with some friends. We kept commenting about how certain people we know who really like boobage would LOVE that place!
I looove street fairs. When you live in the city they take the place of yard sales and flea markets. And, more than that, they have that wonderful carnival atmosphere. We don't have nearly enough of them here in Boston.
If I were you, especially since you're an unemployed bum, I'd get absolutely SMASHED and go offend women.
And buy a lot of crap. I want a bonsai plant.

Kicky throws his beads down on the street to a willing woman.
After placing them around her neck, she responds, "they smell like sh!t!"
I think street fair are largely all the same. Unfortunately.
i once read that people often get their pockets picked at street fairs...
I adore street fairs--and part of the charm is that individuals and traditions repeat year after year after year.
I think the Street Market in Arcata, California is probably a bit different than the one on Third Avenue...
Arcata's street market is on the plaza every Saturday in summer and early fall. Booths ring the plaza purveying a rich variety of locally grown fruit and vegetables, lots of kinds of potted plants, batches of honey, olive oil, fresh flowers, various crafts - including hats made from yarns from local alpacas (so cute, the alpacas, I mean).

Osso - that's more of a farmer's market, no? Or maybe a combo. Sounds good whatever it is.
I love Farmer's markets. Only last month I purchased a particularly efficient farmer, who is now tending my lower pastures.

Damme! I do hope you didn't pay too dearly for the blighter, y'r lordship. But, then, good help really
is hard to get nowadays.

He didnt want payment....just some land. I kicked him in the groin and gave him a couple of acres.
Lord E--
You took on new help before Quarter Day?
Little was I too know that I would be subservient to Lord Elpus.
Merely passing through was I.

Only just made it too. Ten days to spare, so I cut it a bit close.
I'm now looking for about twenty poor people to exploit for a couple of weeks.
