I go to a very strict school in england, it has a saturday detention policy for those students that misbehave or break the rules, last saturday my older sister had a 4 and a half hour saturday detention for skipping a reguler detention, this was the timetable,
845 am registration and FULL school uniform inspection, white shirt must be ironed, top button done up, tie must come up to collor and must be neat, black skirt must have perfect creases , tie lenth must come done to the top of the skirt, black blazer must be buttoned up, black school shoes must be polished, only then cane students sit at their desks in TOTAL silence,
9am --- 11am write a 4 page essay on why you are being punished,
11am --11 15 am 15 minute break,
11 15 am -- 13 15 pm write a 4 page essay on what you have learned from saturday detention, my sister was really pissed of with this punishment, my parents said they fully support such a strict regime as it deters bad behavour what do you think ?
@imogen1234,
I am thinking that you and your sister end up in detention a lot.
@jespah,
i have had a few detentions but never a saturday detention, my sister was so pissed off, she could not go out with her friends because she was in school on a saturday, both myself and my mum picked her up from school at 1 pm, my mum then took us shopping, my sister was still in school uniform, my sister took off her tie and blazer, my mum made her put her tie back on and made her do her top button up and made her wear her blazer, my mum said that this was her punishment for getting a saturday detention, i was wearing nice comfy beach clothes while my sister was in tight shirts, tis and blazer, i enjoyed watching my sister suffer , she was still in full school uniform after 6pm HA HA HA
@imogen1234,
This was last Saturday? When you were supposedly locked in your room for stealing a bottle of liquor? But you were out shopping with your mom and sister, and laughing at your sister's punishment?
Ha!
Troll.
@Seizan,
this happened a few saturdays ago, not last saturday
@imogen1234,
Oh, come on... Your words:
"last saturday my older sister had a 4 and a half hour saturday detention for skipping a reguler detention"
@imogen1234,
I think it's nonsense.
UK schools don't do Saturday detentions.
I'm not American, I'm English and a qualified secondary school teacher.
@imogen1234,
I can't say anything, because I never had detention in my life... but I have a feeling that school's aren't like that, I mean with how strict it is and I live in America.
