That's the problem with these vague threads. NO ONE KNOWS YOUR CONTEXT: where you live; what options are accessible to you; what your obligations are - employment, schooling, etc....
All of this will affect the answers you are expecting to get.
Sans context, here is my answer to you.
Have you ever considered going to a library (especially an open public university library or a big library of a moderate to large city with the capacity for researching subjects)?
Do you live anywhere near the production studio to these tv series? Maybe you can visit there to see if they have direct reference material or a studio historian to talk about these super old productions.
