It was reported today that the nephew of Pope Francis,Mauro Bergoglio is mounting a "go fund me" style appeal so that he and family can attend the burial of his uncle in Rome. Searching Pope Francis' income it appears he had a salary of $32,000 a month but declined to receive it instead donating to charities, trusts and supposedly family. Mauro has commented that the family in reality has no access to funds from their uncle so is asking the public to make donations to pay for the journey.

You would think that the Catholic church would have enough money to be able to help out.
Could it be a <gasp> a potential scammer? I smell a rat.
Seriously, though, couldn’t this relative contact the Vatican and/or the executor of the estate if there is one?
