Sentence structure -- position of "only"

I often read a sentence such as:
"Although it only takes him a few hours to make one ..."
I would write it this way:
"Although it takes him only a few hours to make one ..."
Which sentence structure is preferred?

"Although it only takes him a few hours to make one" sounds better to me...

They're both acceptable and correct. If you're using that construction more than once in the same page, try to use it consistently.
