I recently found out that back in 1973 Jacek Tylicki, a conceptual and Land artist started to spread blank canvases or paper sheets in the natural environment such as shores of the rivers, meadows or woods and let them stay there for a while. The nature left its tracks, colors and forms. Creation of forms were earlier reserved to the artist. Now nature started to create art in place of artist hand. It’s often called Natural art. The natural art project is considered as the continuation of abstract art movement to follow Vasilly Kandinsky, the first artist who back in 1911 painted abstract forms. Later, abstract expressionism, led by drip paintings by Jackson Pollock in the 1950’s actually were the next step before paintings by nature by Jacek Tylicki.
