I have a lakefront vacation rental near Grand Rapids, MI. I want to advertise my rental in Grand Rapids, but also in Detroit, Chicago, and Toledo because several of our previous guests have come from these areas to visit family in Michigan. They rented our lakefront home for their get-togethers. Craigslist expects postings to be for local markets, but vacation rental homes draw interest from a larger area. Some guests even come from other countries! Will my posts to these other cities be allowed?

Why not submit them to Craigslist and see? The worst that can happen is that the posts will be taken down.

That's what I would do, actually I'd probably have a rental company take care of it for me so I wouldn't have to deal with any of the tenants.
