I have been living back home for a year as my dad passed away in Jan.
I'm 27 and my friend was meant to visit me a few weeks back, she re-arranged as she had a half marathon she wanted to train for - I went to watch her in London (2 hour train) run her half marathon last weekend and she was then meant to visit me this weekend.
She cancelled on the Wednesday and said she had to go to her boyfriends friends party instead and today has text me numerous times saying she is scared I am very angry at her...
I am of course upset she literally cancelled on me for a party! I don't know what to do with this...

You have been out of the loop for a year and life is going on without you.
It was her boyfriend's party, not just a casual friend so it was probably important to her.

It was her boyfriend's FRIEND'S party. But at least she called and cancelled and seems worried about how lily is taking it.
This is a nothing bump in life. Get over it and move on.
