In the Patriots vs Dolphins game there was an interception by the dolphins player. The Patriots receiver was out of bounds and possibly touched the ball as the dolphin player caught the ball, but before he established possession in bounds. If he did touch the ball, should it have been an incomplete pass?

@bleven,
My husband watched the game and can't remember that incident (he watches football all day, so... many games).

It's completely irrelevant about the Patriot receiver and whether he touched the ball because he didn't catch it.

You want to know if this was an incomplete pass or an interception?

Please be more specific about where the ball was caught. He is thinking, based on what you've asked, that's it's an incomplete pass.

It was an interception because the offense player touched the ball in bounds and the defender caught it before it was grounded.
