Columbia used to make extremely comfortable and fashionable shoes and sandals. I have a pair of Columbia leather sandles that are 10 years old and still in good condition that I wear all the time. They have no heel strap...and they do not need one as they stay on perfectly. I also have a pair of 10 year old leather slip-ons that still get comments from people when I wear them out to a restaurant or bar. Very comfortable and fashionable still! But I know they will wear out eventually and I cannot seem to find anything out there close in quality and comfort. Any suggestions?

Also, Merrel used to make great comfortable fashionable leather shoes and they do not make them anymore! They now have only sneakers or mocs.

Try companies like REI. Ask their sales persons for recommendations.
