What's a sin in your book?

Let’s use stealing money as an example. Jose Smith steals money from his company but is never caught. He asks God for forgiveness and vows never to do it again. 2 years later, Jose needs money to settle a debt and steals money again. He asks God for forgiveness and feels tremendous remorse for his actions and promises himself and God he’ll never do it again. The Lord knows his heart better than Jose does so if God knows Jose will do it again and then the Rapture occurs, I feel like Jose is SOL from the jump.

What does the Bible say about false prophets and those who deliberately misrepresent the words of God?

You know all too well that the rapture was something made up by extremist preachers in the 19th Century.

Yet you continue to talk about sin all the while twisting and distorting the words of God beyond all recognition, like a serpent.

There is no God, there is no Heaven, there is no Rapture, so it's all moot. Stealing is against the law, so it's a crime, not a sin. Jose should get ratted out and pay for his crime.

So then what is the requirement to “enter the pearly gates”? If someone declares “I believe in that Jesus Christ died for my sins and paid the ultimate price. I ask him to come into my heart and give him my soul.” Then that’s it? The price of admission has been paid?

Undoubtedly I’ll fall again, mistakes will knock me off my feet
But they’ll be new encounters mate, past sins I’ll not repeat
For I store the memory of my crimes, like others store their gold
And my treasure house keeps growing as my future life unfolds.... The Anointed.

Yet you spread deliberate lies.

You're not interested in Jesus, just your own right wing parody of him.

The truth will set you free yet you willingly and deliberately embrace lies.

Can you be more specific? What “lies” am I embracing? I am reaching out for answers. But if condemning people is you’re thing, who am I to judge? That’s not my place…

The rapture.

You've been judgemental from the word go, judging some poor hypothetical sod and finding them guilty of a blanket sin, and then being so arrogant to assume you know the mind of God.

This is not a religious forum. You come here, assuming everyone shares your beliefs which you then present as facts.

Any questioning is loaded in favour of a certain type of Christianity.

There are Christian forums out there if you want to discuss Christian interpretations of sin, or anything else for that matter.

This is more a place of open ended discussions on theological issues where there is no assumption any ideology, including Christian, takes primacy over others.

I am very interested in your thoughts. Do you have a newsletter I can subscribe to? Preferably one with big letters and little words for someone like myself who is “brain damaged” and a “religious fanatic”. We’re the worst.
