Spammers heavily attacking groups

Hi,
not sure if someone can help me here, but it's about a serious issue. Fake "pages", bots, are heavily trying to attack my FB group (64k members), trying to spam stupid video clips.

I already had to close the group for pages to share content (I couldn't bare it anymore to see the stupid covers), but they still can join. They mess up my complete member list. I tried to reach out to Facebook several times (standard form, emails I found), zero reply.

I mean. It started many months ago. Maybe already 1 - 2 years. First they tried to attack 20 - 40 times a day. But now they've gone insane. I count usually more than 100+ fake pages trying to join each day now. 24 / 7, around the clock (clearly script driven fake accounts). It takes me already half an hour per day to block and report them. I may have reported thousands of their bots, not a single one went down.

If they scale their attacks to 200, 500, 1000 or per day, I'll have to abandon the group.

@Aeclypze,

see if things calm down a bit...

@Aeclypze,
I don't know what you should do and it sounds dreadful. I got off FB in 2019 and don't miss it a bit. Perhaps if you google it you'll get some answers from fellow sufferers. These hackers are a menace.

I've had to put call blockers on my phone because I was getting a couple of dozen "You've won....!", "Sign up for...!" calls every single day. Now they just go to voicemail, which is still irritating because I have to delete them. It doesn't matter if I block all the numbers, they just use a different one.

I wish you all the best. If you do find a solution, please come back and share it because this site gets dozens of FB problems seeking a solution.

@Region Philbis,
That's what I would do.

I belong to a couple groups and one of them when you make a post it has to be approved by an admin before it even shows up, same when you join the group, an admin has to approved you before you can post.
