Fixing a monitor circuit board

Have a monitor has sk 8050SD regulator accidentally apply 12 volts AC instead of DC do not have much for brightness. Did not do any voltage measurements yet. I'm thinking all the power for the monitor goes thru this buck regulator so this would be likely to get damaged. Seems the monitor must run on 5 volts DC.
