The 10th dimension is a single point that represents all the possible branches of every timeline of all the potential universes. The theoretical framework of superstring theory posits that the universe exists in ten different dimensions. These different aspects are what govern the universe and the fundamental forces of nature and all the elementary particles contained within. In the tenth and final dimension, we arrive at the point in which everything possible and imaginable is covered. Dimensions are simply the different facets of what we perceive to be reality. We are immediately aware of the three dimensions that surround us on a daily basis- those that define the length, width and depth of all objects in the universe, much like other candidates for a grand unifying theory - aka The Theory of Everything- the belief that the universe is made up of ten dimensions (or more, depending on which model of string theory you use) is an attempt to reconcile the standard model of particle physics with the existence of gravity. In short, it is an approach to explain how all known forces within our universe interact, and how other possible universes themselves might work. Superstrings vibrating in the 10th dimension are what create the subatomic particles that make up not only our universe, but all universes. All possibilities are contained in the 10th dimension. To imagine a ten dimensional point, we would have to consider all the possible universes with all the possible outcomes of branches with all the possible timelines as single point. To progress further we would need a different point to connect, but we have already created a point with every possible and imaginable object. This theory just shows how complex and absurd our universe is. Everything that you ever experienced has in some but significant way been an illusion. This is because everything you have ever experienced you have understood as happening in three dimensions of space. Things happen in more than three dimensions of space; to see them in only three dimensions is to succumb to a trick that the universe is constantly playing on us.
