For the biblically ignorant, read Acts 3:21- "He must remain in heaven until the time comes for all things to be made new, as God announced through the Holy prophets of long ago."

I don’t understand this conversation. When I joined here 21 years ago, we were primarily disciples of Gordoz.

Apparently, Mrknowspeople doesn't know people.

Of some 7.6 billion people worldwide, some 2.2 billion around 31% claim to follow Jesus, almost one in every three people on earth.

Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims and many other God believing bodies plus a few Atheists and Agnostic make up the remaining two thirds.

I don't believe so old mate. I believe that the greater majority of Christians follow Jesus according to their view of what he requires.

Many, if not all, fail at times even as the apostles did, but then beg forgiveness and strive harder to be a better person.

@The Anointed,
I only knew one who did.
The rest in our small southern town were all eventually revealed as fakers.

@The Anointed,
Their view will make them lose. The only view = Gods will--all of it. Jesus taught---Man does not live by bread alone but by EVERY utterance from God= OT-NT--takes years of study it never stops. There is no pick and choose.

@Mrknowspeople,
Few follow Jesus even though many claim to. Few actually know what he really teaches thus cannot obey.

@kjw47,
Take head and have some heart for yourself but first tell me why you think 7 x 70 is something He prescribed to the Apostles. Else, "see" you some other time in the future including in Heavan.

Your response is well practiced - I blew right along it. Not unkind though because what I said was the truth.

@kjw47,

The only view = Gods will--all of it.

And all of God's will is fulfilled in these two commands as taught by Jesus.

Luke 10: 25-28: A teacher of the Law came up and tried to trap Jesus. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to receive eternal life?”
26Jesus answered him, “What do the Scriptures say? How do you interpret them?”
The man answered, “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind’; and ‘Love your neighbour as you love yourself.’ ”

“You are right,” Jesus replied; “do this and you will live.”

Follow those two commands and you will live said Jesus.

Matthew 22: 35- When the Pharisees heard that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, they came together, and one of them, a teacher of the Law, tried to trap him with a question. “Teacher,” he asked, “which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”

Jesus answered, “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the greatest and the most important commandment. The second most important commandment is like it: ‘Love your neighbour as you love yourself.’ The whole Law of Moses and the teachings of the prophets depend on these two commandments.”

What a wonderful world it would be if we would all care for the environment that we live in, and never do anything to our neighbour that we would not want others to do to us?

@The Anointed,
Any can fool themselves into thinking they have that love, Few do, the same love given to family and friends is to be given to ones enemy as well.
Osama bin laden was one of those neighbors. Jesus said return evil for evil to no one. Vengeance is mine said the Lord, yet how many praised his death? Because out of pride, and throwing Jesus away they sought vengeance for self. Mans view is far removed from Gods view of love.

Two men witness a psychopathic killer in a crowded school yard swinging a machete and slaughtering the little children, both have access to a rifle.

One, fearing for his immortal soul if he breaks the written letter of God’s law and kills his fellow man, and believes that he must love his enemy no matter what he does, refuses to intervene in any way.

The other, out of love for the defenceless children takes the psychopathic animal out, blowing his head from his shoulders like an over ripe melon.

Which of the two do you think God would reward?

@The Anointed,
Jesus showed you when Peter cut off the roman guards ear. Matt 26:52--He told Peter to return his sword to its sheath, and those that live by the sword will perish by the sword--meaning--Dont. Are we not supposed to follow Jesus footsteps closely? He didnt fight back. Vengeance is mine said the Lord.
