problem with inputting information in Facebook comments

Lenovo Thinkpad, windows 10 pro
When I try to comment in Facebook the first character I type kicks me out of the dialog box as does backspace and some punctuation. I can get back into the dialog box and continue my reply but will get kicked out often.
