I have a garden fountain that leaks

I have a garden fountain made of a plastic resin & it has at least one leak in the bottom that I cannot find. I've thought of buying that liquid plastic coating for tool handles and pouring it in the bottom (after I dry it out). Does anyone have any other suggestions? It's really too pretty to replace and it would be expensive too.
