Why are doctors extra conservative in a community hospital? Is it to do with the ir managers doing the "choke-hold" onto the doctors? Why don't the doctors speak up more about remedies - from their training?

What makes you think that? Did you have some bad experience you haven’t shared with us?

I think you might need to find a new doctor. I've never heard of or witnessed anything like you're describing so it's probably not as widespread of an issue (if one at all) as you may think.
