"Count your blessings, Count them twice."

I'm trying to find a short story, by an unknown artist. Possibly with this title??? Truthfully those are the only words I remember. Cuz that sentence was used at the end of each paragraph, OR maybe Senerio is a better word? It was only 2-3 pages max. I lost my copy apx 20 yrs ago. Been searching ever since. With absolutely no luck! Crossing fingers someone, somewhere out there will know exactly what I'm talking about.
