Cps has not closed case? No contact

Cps became involved with our family when my son got a black eye at
School. That was ruled out as an accident but my self harm became the main focus, as I was recently in the hospital for stitches. The worker said she would talk to my therapist and then close the case. It's been 2 weeks and she hasn't called my therapist. What could be going on? Should I expect the case to be closed and get a letter in the mail?
