Big winners on Jeopardy.

At one time the contestants were limited to five wins, and then they reappeared in championship games. I liked that better.

But the ratings really go up when you have the same person winning for weeks or months on end. The latest one is on a 10-game winning streak. It makes you wonder if Jeopardy is setting it up intentionally, I mean intentionally matching up one really good player with others of lesser capability so as to produce more and more long-term champions. I find it boring and stopped watching.

I don't get that involved in who wins most of the time unless it's a really long run. I enjoy the format and the questions.

@coluber2001,
I don't really care about the champions, I enjoy answering the questions. Or maybe I should say questioning the answers.

@coluber2001,
I'm like that with Pointless.

It's like the opposite of Family Fortunes, a hundred people are asked questions but the aim is not to go for the most popular but the most obscure, and the goal is to get a Pointless question one that is correct but not mentioned by the hundred.

It took over the spot vacated by The Weakest Link and unlike Anne Robinson who is vile, Alexander Armstrong is really nice to the contestants, there's also some good banter between him and his Co host Richard Osman.

When someone wins the jackpot they leave.

@coluber2001,
Personally the opposite happens to me...when I see the same person on over and over I stop watching it. When that last guy started on his wins, I'd put it in for a while and once I saw him taking off I'd change the channel.
