I did a pretty dumb thing and didnt check my pockets before I did my laundry.
The actual stick of lipstick broke loose and coated several pieces of clothes.
Before I put them in the dryer, is there something I can do to get that out?
I know if I dry it this way, I will never get it out, but is that true if I have NOT dried them?
According to Whirlpool:
Cosmetics
Pretreat the spot with prewash stain remover or a liquid laundry detergent. Wash the garment in the water temperature recommended for the fabric.
Use petroleum jelly for removing lipstick stains. Another possibility is to rub in a little vegatable shortening and then launder as normal. If an item is dry clean only, getting it to the dry cleaner sooner rather than later helps to make sure they can get the stain out.
Crayon
Scrape off surface wax with a dull knife. Soak the fabric in a product containing enzymes or oxygen bleach in the hottest water safe for the fabric. Launder using the hottest water it can withstand.

Good luck.
Thanks!
I dont have stain remover, but I do use liquid detergent.
Live and learn ( always check POCKETS! )
Lipstick in the drier is the real disaster.
Bean will have teenage years, complete with lipstick and laundry.
My husband leaves lighters in his pocket. I am waiting for the day the dryer explodes because someone left a lighter in his pocket...
wont happen bella.
dryer isnt hot enough. ;-)
Noddy-
if all i find in Beans pockets when she is a teen is lipstick.. I will be truly lucky. ;-)
Icky Mo puts garden slugs in his pockets.
I don't want to check his pockets.
But I do.
And I realize boys are as icky as I suspected in the second grade.

Luck? Nope. Hard work.
Worse than the lipstick is "Well, how was I supposed to know!" announced on the second offense.
